On April 15th, the delegation of four members from Clinical Trials Center(CTC) of the University and University Hospital Zurich, including Dr. Fabian Ma-Yin Tay, Head Training Center CTC, Mr. Dirk Smolinski, Data manager, Ms. Karin Huber, Head Monitoring and Mr. Michael Weisskopf, paid a visit to SCRC for a five-day exchange under the Program of Sino Swiss Science and Technology Cooperation.

 

During this visit, the CTC team, participated the "Workshop on eClinical Research Management 2013", which was focused on how the eclinical solutions improve the data accuracy and efficiency in clinical studies. Two members of the delegation presented at the workshop and shared their experiences in University and University Hospital Zurich, especially the quality management of Investigator initiated studies, which were highly evaluated by the participants. Besides, the Swiss scholars made in-depth exchanges with the professionals from Shanghai Drug Administration, hospitals and some pharmaceutical companies, and looked forward to the more extensive cooperation on clinical research.

 

    

 

The delegation also visited Longhua Hospital, Huashan Hospital and Changzheng Hospital to learn the clinical research facilities, and they were impressed by the resources and overall capabilities of the hospitals in Shanghai.

 

     

 

Through this visit, staff members of both institutions shared know-how in the field of educational programs for translational research, thus contributing to a growing, fruitful environment of raising the level of understanding between different research cultures under the same roof of international standards and regulations.

 

CTC, affiliated to the University of Zurich, which devotes to conduct clinical trials and translational medicine research, applies for the Program of Sino Swiss Science and Technology Cooperation jointly with SCRC and gained approval. Collaboration between the SCRS and the CTC could be fruitful for both organizations. The CTC and the SCRC staff exchanges and workshops would not only be attractive for participants, but actively contribute to creative activities by sharing and complementing local experience.
