Vera Holländer, Ph.D. Senior Scientist R&D, QIAGEN GmbH

Vera Holländer joined QIAGENs R&D department in 1998. She held a position as senior scientist in the department for “Molecular Diagnostics” and moved on to the department “Sample Preparation Technologies Life Science”. She is responsible for stabilization technologies, purification technologies for FFPE samples and biobanking. She graduated at the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany in 1994 with a degree in Biology and holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the University of Bochum, Germany which was rewarded with the “Ruth Massenberg-Award" in 1997. She is listed as an inventor/co-inventor for numerous stabilization and nucleic acid purification technologies for different sample materials.
