Daniel Groelz, Ph.D.

Dr. Daniel Groelz is a Scientific Associate Director of Research and Development at QIAGEN in Hilden, Germany. As the responsible project manager he leaded an international team within the Jointventure PreAnalytiX between QIAGEN and BD for the development of the PAXgene Blood DNA and the PAXgene Tissue system. Within the European Collaborative Grant Project SPIDIA Dr. Groelz is the responsible work package leader for evaluation of the PAXgene Tissue system.

Prior to joining QIAGEN, Dr. Groelz worked for Autoimmundiagnostica in Albstadt, Germany. Dr. Groelz received a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Mainz with a concentration in Physiological Chemistry. He is listed as an inventor on PAXgene Tissue and as an inventor/co-inventor on three other patent families.
