As organized by Shanghai Clinical Research Center (SCRC), ACRP CCRA®/CPI®/CCRC® Certification Exams were successfully held in Beijing and Shanghai on Sep. 12th, 2009.

 

Forty people took the exam on Sep. 12th, fifteen more than the one held in March. Among them, 29 are CRAs from multinational pharmaceutical companies and CROs including Roche, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Xian-Janssen and Tigermed. 9 are PIs from Shanghai Tumor Hospital (Fudan University Hospital), Shanghai Mental Health Center (Shanghai Jiaotong University Hospital) and Xuhui Central Hospital. At least two years´ working experience in clinical research is required for each participant.

 

The exams proceeded smoothly in both Beijing and Shanghai. Jenny Zhang, ACRP China Chapter President, went to the Beijing venue after the exam and talked with the candidates. Although having years of working experiences, they still found the exam difficult. In addition, to take the exam in English was also a big challenge for them.

 

Candidates will be mailed a report from AMP indicating whether they have passed or failed in six weeks after the exam. And the member of ACRP will also receive the latest news, educational events and other information for clinical research profession. SCRC, as the exclusive partner of ACRP in Mainland China, will keep close connection with ACRP and bring more professional courses and exams to China to improve China´ s clinical research by better following the ICH-GCP principals.
